This is the moment a rail passenger was confronted for allegedly racking up more than £3,000 in unpaid fares by avoiding paying for travel at least 400 times.

Investigators working for Transport for London (TfL) stopped the woman at Ilford station on the Elizabeth line in East London after tracking her journeys for weeks.

The woman was suspected of having been using a scam contactless card to travel across the capital to Notting Hill Gate Underground station in West London.

She was eventually caught by a team who cross-referenced dates, times and stations when the card was used along with CCTV stills of her passing through ticket gates.

The confrontation featured on the latest episode of Channel 5's series Fare Dodgers: At War With The Law when the woman was interviewed by two investigators.
