Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini on Sunday (September 7, 2025) visited canal headworks at Baliawala, Koodni and Chandpura Saifan and surrounding rain-affected areas of Fatehabad district to take stock of the waterlogging situation. He met local people and farmers and assured them of all possible help.
Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, visiting parts of Rohtak district which was flooded in the recent rains, demanded immediate compensation for the affected farmers.
More than two lakh farmers across 4,853 villages have registered 13.77 lakh acre land on e-kshatipurti portal seeking compensation for damaged crops.
Mr. Saini said the State government would ensure compensation for the losses to the farmers. For this, e-compensation portal had been opened and a compensation amount would be provided to the farmers soon. He assured the farmers that the State government stood by them strongly and those whose houses or roofs were damaged would also be given relief.
