The University of Strathclyde in Glasgow has won the Daily Mail’s University of the Year award.

Specialising in science, engineering, technology and business, the university’s graduates are in demand, earning an average of £30,000 within 15 months of graduating.

Students rate their teaching highly and academics earn the fifth highest sum per capita of any university from research grants and contracts.

The award comes as part of the 2026 Daily Mail University Guide, which is published online today.

A print edition of the guide comes free with tomorrow’s Mail on Sunday.
