In the face of deals between the UK and France, promises from the Prime Minister and supposedly tougher restrictions on migrants, many continue to make the perilous journey across the Channel.
New pictures, seen exclusively by the Mail, show a large group of men idling at a notorious French people smuggling port as UK small boat crossings surge past 50,000.
Last month the total number of migrants to have crossed the Channel since Labour came to power rose to a staggering 50,271 people.
The milestone underscores the failure of Sir Keir Starmer's 'smash the gangs' strategy, which critics have long insisted will not work without an effective deterrent for the migrants themselves.
And Labour's failure to fix the issue seems apparent as huge groups of men were spotted sitting on a bank off the coast of Gravelines near Calais.
