Captain David Zini, then a promising company commander in the Israel Defense Forces Golani Brigade, was concerned about the lack of critical thinking among his young soldiers, so he screened the film "The Wave" for them. The film tells the story of teenagers who follow a charismatic high school teacher who tries to show his students what life in a dictatorship is like, imposes strict discipline, demands blind obedience and essentially molds them into a radical and dangerous underground movement.
