A fire chief who was caught on camera seemingly throwing a disabled man's phone over a hedge has blamed his actions on having PTSD.

John Linden, who held the post of station manager during his 32 years at Norfolk Fire Service in East Anglia, is claiming he was unfairly sacked after an investigation found he had committed misconduct.

The former firefighter, from Dersingham, had been attending a blaze near the banks of the Great Ouse, King's Lynn, in June 2023, when he got embroiled in an altercation with Jimmy Evans, who was filming for his YouTube channel.

The pair exchanged words over whether Mr Evans, who was on a mobility scooter, was entitled to be in the area.

The Youtube blogger can he heard saying 'I'm press, mate' and that he was 'legally allowed to do it' as the fire chief approached him.
