A female office manager has won almost £30,000 in compensation after a judge ruled she was wrongfully sacked for calling her boss a 'd***head'.
Kerrie Herbert was unfairly dismissed from her £40,000 a year role at scaffolding and brickwork company Main Group Services after she made a 'one off comment' to her line manager.
An employment tribunal heard that in May 2022 Ms Herbert had found documents in her boss's desk about the costs of employing her, and became upset as she believed he was going to let her go.
When her boss Thomas Swannell, who ran the Northampton firm with his wife Anna, raised issues about her performance, she began crying.
Ms Herbert then said: 'If it was anyone else in this position they would have walked years ago due to the goings on in the office, but it is only because of you two d***heads that I stayed'.
