Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) got some uncomfortable reminders about his own state after he attempted to slam California during a Fox News interview on Thursday.
“People know, when you mention California, you’re talking about unhinged leftist government,” he said, calling the Golden State a “punchline.”
His comments came one day after Florida moved to end all vaccine mandates for children ― including kids going to school ― which critics said could lead to new outbreaks of once-contained diseases.
Infectious diseases expert Michael Osterholm warned that Florida could
“become a hotbed of transmission.”
