Afghanistan has been rocked by another major earthquake just days after a large quake left more than 2,200 people dead.
The country's eastern region was hit again on Thursday by a magnitude 6.2 earthquake, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) reported.
Experts said the earthquake struck at a depth of 10km in a region lying 20 miles outside of Jalalabad, while tremors were reportedly felt in India and Pakistan.
The extent of casualties and damage caused by the latest quake - which was more powerful than the one recorded earlier this week - is as yet unknown.
A 6.0-magnitude quake struck several provinces of the mountainous and remote east of the country on Sunday night, levelling villages and trapping people under rubble.
