The President of Northwestern University announced he would resign on Thursday, after Republicans accused him of not doing enough to address antisemitism on campus, according to a report by The New York Times.

Republicans have targeted Northwestern and its president, Michael H. Schill, as part of a Republican campaign to reprimand U.S. universities for having mistreated Jewish students since pro-Palestinian protests began in October 2023, the report said. Jewish groups such as the Anti-Defamation League and the Brandeis Center have also called on him to resign.
