YouTube TV reaches ‘short-term extension’ to keep Fox channels on platform
The network of 80 unauthorised domains generated 1.6billion combined visits over the last year.
The take-down of the site has been championed as a major victory for live sports broadcasters.
ESPN and Fox will offer their upcoming direct-to-consumer streaming services as a bundle beginning in October.
Separate apps will be available Aug. 21 before the football seasons.
After two weeks, YouTube TV and Disney have reached an agreement to bring ESPN, ABC, and others back to the streaming platform.
Disney programming, including ESPN, is still dark on YouTube TV until the two sides can reach a carriage agreement.
