Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, who is also the Minister in charge of Hassan district, said that the State cabinet has given administrative approval for a revised estimate of ₹63.34 crore for the construction of a super-speciality hospital in Hassan.
In a press release issued by the Minister on Thursday, he said that the construction of the hospital had already begun. However, due to the shortage of funds, the work had not been completed, and many patients who visited the hospital were being referred to other hospitals in Mangaluru and Bengaluru, he added.
