The Italian national soccer team will remember Giorgio Armani before Friday night's World Cup qualifier in Bergamo, Italian Soccer Federation (FIGC) President Gabriele Gravina said after the fashion icon died at 91 Thursday.
Voicing his and the FIGC's grief, Gravina called Armani, "a true king of fashion.
"One of the most acclaimed designers of all time, he helped bring 'Made in Italy' to the world by founding the company that bears his name in the 1970s," Gravina said on X.
"Armani will be remembered by the federation tomorrow evening at the Bergamo Stadium before kick-off of the match between Italy and Estonia.
"The passing of Giorgio Armani is a grave loss for Italy," said Gravina.
