It was a bumpy landing for one of the star attractions at the Chatsworth Country Fair this weekend, after a hot-air balloon emblazoned with a 'Support British Farmers' banner crashed into a set of floodlights in front of stunned spectators.

Crowds gathered in the grounds of the grand Chatsworth House estate in Derbyshire were left gasping as the wayward balloon came in too low and snagged itself on a generator tower rigged with floodlights.

The balloon, part of a dazzling display featuring more than 75 colourful crafts, appeared to get tangled in the tower, which swayed alarmingly as the balloon hung suspended for several tense moments.

Witnesses watched as the pilot managed to carefully free the basket, before making a bumpy landing between two parked cars.

Miraculously, no one was hurt in the incident.
