The Supreme Court postponed a session scheduled for Wednesday to hear petitions against the dismissal of Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara. The reason for the postponement is worrying in itself, aside from the issue at hand: Ignoring a court order, the government failed to submit a response explaining why it decided to change the rules by bypassing the public committee and to oust her in a political move led by ministers who support a regime coup; members of a government headed by a person whose prosecution for corruption the attorney general is in charge of.
