Mild tension prevailed at Tummanamgutta toll plaza on National Highway-42 after villagers from surrounding areas confronted the toll staff for allegedly collecting money from the residents despite them being entitled to an exemption, at Madanapalle mandal in Annamayya district on Tuesday (September 02, 2025).
The villagers from Mulakalacheruvu and B. Kothakota mandals alleged that the toll plaza staff had been collecting full charges from them despite government rule, “which allowed residents living near toll plaza points to pass through without payment on production of valid ID proof”.
