The State Department of Information and Public Relations has invited applications for the “Mahatma Gandhi Seva Award – Karnataka.” This award, carrying a cash prize of ₹5 lakh, is instituted to honor individuals and organisations who have made significant contributions to society by upholding and promoting Gandhian principles.
The award aims to recognise outstanding service in areas such as the eradication of untouchability, non-violence, women’s empowerment, rural sanitation, anti-liquor movements, the promotion of Khadi, and the upliftment of marginalised communities.
