A council has been forced to tear up a road and re-lay it after people kept faceplanting on the uneven surface.
Market Place in Faringdon, Oxfordshire has been the site of a series of nasty falls with some people said to have sustained serious injuries.
And CCTV from outside The Old Crown Coaching Inn, which overlooks the treacherous spot, shows some of the worst trips and stumbles.
One person crossing the road with his dog appears to be impeded by thin air, falling face first on the ground as the hound looks on in alarm.
He gets up to his feet gingerly, seemingly avoiding injury except for the obvious wounds to his pride.
