Israeli President Isaac Herzog will meet Pope Leo XIV in the Vatican on Thursday, his office said on Tuesday.
It said the one-day trip will focus on efforts to bring back the hostages from Gaza, the fight against anti-Semitism around the world, and the protection of Christian communities in the Middle East.
Herzog will also meet with Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin and visit the Vatican Library.
