More than three lakh acre agricultural land has been registered for crop damage claims by farmer across 1,003 villages in Haryana over the past week, according to the latest data available on the e-Kshatipurti portal. Around a dozen districts in Haryana are facing a flood situation amid continuous rise in water levels of the State’s four major rivers — Yamuna, Markanda, Tangri and Ghaggar.

The portal will remain open for 1,402 villages across 12 districts till September 10 after Chief Minister Nayab Saini extended the August 31 deadline. Initially, it was opened for 188 villages in seven districts on August 21.
