Warwick Davis is re-boarding the Hogwarts Express, bringing Professor Filius Flitwick from the "Harry Potter" film world to the new HBO TV series.

Davis, 55, who originated the role of the best and most knowledgeable Charms master at Hogwarts, becomes the first actor from the blockbuster film franchise to reprise a character in the TV adaptation set for 2027 premiere.

"I'm so excited (and truly honoured) to share that I'll be returning as Professor Filius Flitwick," Davis wrote on his Instagram page on Sept. 1. "This feels like a homecoming."

"Willow" star Davis also portrayed the "Harry Potter" goblin Griphook on the big screen. That role will be played on TV by Leigh Gill, HBO announced on Sept. 1.
