Senior BJP leaders on Monday questioned the State government’s decision to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the Dharmasthala case, stating that there was no prima facie evidence in it.
Speaking at the ‘Dharmasthala chalo’ programme in the temple town, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Jagadish Shettar, former Chief Minister and MP, former Minister Sriramulu, C.T. Ravi, MLC and former Minister, and president of State BJP unit B.Y. Vijayendra, asked why the government did not perform a narco analysis test on the complainant before handing over the case to the SIT.
