Newcastle have agreed a deal worth £55m for Brentford forward Yoane Wissa, a day after he urged the Bees to "keep their word" and let him leave.
The fee is an initial £50m plus £5m in add-ons and the DR Congo international is travelling to Newcastle to complete the formalities of the move.
Brentford rejected two previous offers for Wissa from the Magpies this summer.
It comes after Liverpool agreed a British transfer record fee of £125m to sign Newcastle striker Alexander Isak.
