A couple who illegally built a log cabin in the South Downs National Park have a week to return the site to its natural beauty or face jail.
Andrew and Debbie Melbourne pulled down the £45,000 off-grid structure in June after they were slapped with a £3,500 fine and given 56 days to get rid of it or risk a custodial sentence.
But more than two months later the once-pristine hillside on the edge of the national park near Waterlooville, Hants, remains a building site - described as an 'eyesore', a 'carbuncle' and a 'scar on the landscape' by locals who treasure the area's natural beauty.
Dozens of timber planks and panels lie scattered across the hillside.
A huge bright blue tarpaulin is spread over the other materials held down by a wheelbarrow.
