A Congress Councillor from Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, who had been absconding for over two months in a case of allegedly funding religious conversion, surrendered before a local court on Friday (August 29, 2025), police officers said.

According to the police, Anwar Qadri, 50, arrived to surrender before the district court after a notice had been issued against him asking him to appear before September 8.
