Amritsar-bound passenger arrested with live ammunition at RGIA
A 32-year-old passenger from Punjab was arrested at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Shamshabad, on Thursday after security personnel recovered eight live bullets from his checked-in baggage.
The passenger, Sukhdeep Singh of Bhawanigarh, was scheduled to travel to Amritsar via Delhi on Indigo flights 6E-6076 and 6E-5007 when the ammunition was detected during screening. The seized rounds included four of 0.2 mm, two of 0.7 mm, one of 7.52 mm and one of 7.62 mm calibre.
