As Jewish professionals in the medical and public health community, we are ashamed that so many of our Jewish American colleagues remain silent in the face of devastating human loss in Gaza. We are ashamed that so many have chosen silence as Israel continues to decimate Gaza's entire health system, including this week's strike on the last remaining hospital in the Strip's south. And we are ashamed that even as images and reports of the horrors in Gaza continue to emerge, our collective silence persists.
