A Republican Senate candidate who was booed out of his own town hall says left-wing agitators are the reason he ducked out the back door while the crowd chanted, “Shame! Shame! Shame!”
Rep. Barry Moore (R-Ala.) is running for U.S. Senate next year in the seat currently held by Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R), who, in turn, is seeking the state’s gubernatorial office.
Even though his appearance at the city hall in Daphne, Alabama, on Wednesday night was never publicly advertised, many constituents nevertheless showed up.
And they certainly made themselves heard.
A video of the 45-minute event, shared on YouTube, shows the crowd remaining civil as Moore praised himself for his accessibility.
