An easyJet cabin manager has lost his appeal after being fired for calling female co-workers 'lovely ladies' and 'darlings,' which he claimed was 'flirty banter'.
Ross Barr, who worked at the budget airline for eight years, was also accused of turning his tannoy announcements into comedy routines rather than safety briefings.
He was sacked for gross misconduct after staff and customers made a series of complaints about his behaviour.
Amongst the complaints were that he called colleagues 'lovely ladies', 'darling' and 'young lady'.
Mr Barr said his comments were 'flirty banter' and initially claimed to have been dismissed and discriminated against for his sexual orientation, claiming he had been told he 'cannot make the same comments as a gay colleague'.
