Online gaming company, Head Digital Works Pvt. Ltd., New Delhi, which offers online games in the name of A23, on Thursday moved the High Court of Karnataka challenging the constitutional validity of newly enacted Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025, which has banned all online Real Money Games (RMGs), be it games of skill, chance or both.

After filing the petition in court’s registry, the advocates representing the company mentioned before a bench of Justice B.M. Shyam Prasad about the urgency for hearing the petition as the new law has compelled the petitioner and other similar online gaming platforms to shut their businesses abruptly. The judge orally indicated that the petition would be taken up for hearing on August 30.
