Actor Micheal Ward appeared in court for the first time today charged with two counts of rape and three counts of sexual assault.
The 27-year-old, best known for his role as Jamie in Netflix's gritty drama Top Boy, arrived at Thames Magistrates' Court this morning after being formally charged following a Metropolitan Police investigation.
Ward, of Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, is accused of committing the offences against one woman in January 2023.
Dressed in a dark suit, the Jamaican-born star spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth, and address during the brief hearing.
No pleas were entered, and the case was sent to Snaresbrook Crown Court for a further hearing on the 25 September.
