One of the primary tactics used by ground forces in the war in Gaza is the so-called "suicide APC." Combat engineering units take old M113 armored personnel carriers, refurbish them for remote control, fill them with explosives, and send them toward a target. The goal is to trigger a massive blast capable of detonating any nearby explosives inside buildings, allowing Israeli troops to enter the area with reduced risk.
