A gunman suspected of killing two police officers branded cops 'frigging Nazis', 'Gestapo' and 'terrorist thugs' as he relentlessly targeted a female officer because she pulled him over for speeding.
Dezi Freeman remained on the run overnight in Victoria's freezing high country after it's alleged he shot and killed two police officers and wounded a third with a home-made shotgun at a property in the small northeast Victorian town of Porepunkah.
A 59-year-old detective and a 35-year-old senior constable were killed in the shocking incident late Tuesday morning, which came after ten officers arrived at the property to serve a warrant.
Freeman allegedly took the dead officers' guns and a police radio to listen in to cops' movements and then fled deep into bushland in Victoria's High Country, about 300km northeast of Melbourne.
The search for Freeman continued throughout the night, and reportedly involved over 100 police officers, including some from NSW.
