President Donald Trump reacted to the news Tuesday that singer Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs football player Travis Kelce got engaged.
'Well I wish them a lot of luck', the president said. 'I think he's a great player and a great guy and I think she's a terrific person so I wish them a lot of luck.'
The president commented on the news to reporters during a cabinet meeting at the White House.
Swift announced the news in a post on Instagram, sharing a photo of Kelce getting down on one knee in a garden surrounded by flowers.
'Your English teacher and gym teacher are getting married,' Swift wrote simply along with the song 'So High School,' that was inspired by her love for Kelce.
