Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Deputies in Colorado's Weld County wrangled an escaped emu -- the second such incident to occur within a single five-day period.
The Weld County Sheriff's Office said deputies were dispatched to the Camfield area on Friday to capture a loose emu.
The incident occurred just days after Weld County deputies wrangled a different escaped emu Aug. 18 in Lakewood, about 60 miles away.
Camfield area resident Brian Bunn, who reported the most recent emu sighting to authorities, assisted with the capture.
"I didn't know anybody out there had emus to be honest," Bunn told KDVR-TV. "They're pretty intimidating because of their claws on their feet. They're just real live dinosaurs. They're the last living dinosaurs."
