The New York Giants' "Tommy Cutlets" era appears "finito."
The team waived quarterback Tommy DeVito on Tuesday, according to NorthJersey.com, part of the USA TODAY Network.
The Giants added three quarterbacks to the roster this offseason, signing veterans Russell Wilson (to start) and Jameis Winston (as a backup) and also drafted Jaxson Dart in the first round.
DeVito became a fan favorite during the 2023 season when he started six games for "Big Blue," which went 3-3 in those contests. He endeared himself by living at home in his native New Jersey and commenting that his mother still cooked him chicken cutlets; his "chef's kiss" hand gesture also became a DeVito calling card.
The 27-year-old also started two games last season and has thrown eight career touchdowns with three interceptions.
