LONDON, August 26. /TASS/. Russian racing promoter Rosgonki has filed a lawsuit with the High Court of Justice in London against F1 for terminating its Grand Prix contract in Russia, The Telegraph newspaper said.
The Russian side is seeking £50 mln for breach of contract. It alleges that F1 is politicizing sport.
The court confirmed the information concerning the suit to TASS.
In March 2022, Formula 1 terminated the contract for the Russian Grand Prix. The race had been held in the Russian city of Sochi annually from 2014 to 2021.
