Around 900 migrants arrived in the UK under darkness this bank holiday weekend following interceptions in the Channel.
A total of 52,180 people have now arrived in Britain since Sir Keir Starmer took office and implemented his 'smash the gangs' policy.
The migrants who arrived under darkness crossed the Channel illegally over the bank holiday weekend.
Footage from last night shows a Border Force vessel transporting a large group of people after they were intercepted in the Channel.
Sir Keir previously vowed to dismantle people-smuggling gangs and curb small boat crossings across the Channel.
