Winners of The Hindu Downtown ‘Maya Kannan’ – Janmashtami Contest 2025 for children were felicitated at an event held at Shri Krishnaswamy College for Women in Anna Nagar.

As part of the competition, children in the age group of 3 to 8 were asked to dress up as Krishna or Radha, and perform a dance, sing or recite slokas. The contest evoked a good response from the readers, and nearly 700 children participated from Chennai.
