A female passenger launched a shocking attack on a cabin crew member in a mid-flight rampage after she was denied the use of a phone.
The red haired woman, 39, was travelling from Novosibirsk, Siberia's most populous city, to Moscow, on Saturday morning when she mounted the brutal assault after arguing with a flight attendant on the Boeing 737 jet.
Shocking footage shows her angrily squabbling with the flight staff before repeatedly hitting one at least five times, before passengers and crew intervene.
The unnamed woman reportedly acted aggressively and frightened other passengers as she began to demand the use of a phone just seven minutes after the fight took off.
The cabin crew tried to calm her down and handed her the rules of conduct on board.
