The Hyderabad Disaster Response & Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) rescued government land in a layout near the Jubilee Hills Check Post on Monday, which allegedly had been under encroachment for the past two decades.

The 2,000-square-yard land reportedly worth ₹100 crore, was demarcated for public utilities in the layout of Jubilee Hills Cooperative Housing Society. It was occupied by a person named Pilla Satyanarayana who allegedly created a fake house number and ran a nursery in it. A case was registered against the encroachment in the Jubilee Hills police station. Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), which was the owner/custodian of the land tried several times to get possession of the land, against which the encroacher approached the High Court, and obtained a status-quo order. However, despite status quo orders. He constructed sheds and ran his business, a statement from HYDRAA said.
