Female MPs have reported rape and death threats amid concerns about a rise in online abuse linked to debates around immigration.
One MP is said to have this weekend reported to the police an online rape threat linked to her support for asylum seekers.
Others told The Guardian they had received death threats amid the 'constant' hate they face.
A long-serving MP said the abuse suffered by MPs on social media and in their email inboxes was now worse than during the Brexit wars in Parliament.
Protests continued across Britain this weekend over the use of hotels to house asylum seekers, with the Government under growing pressure to deal with the issue.
