The Delhi police have busted a heroin syndicate operating in north-east Delhi with the arrest of two women drug peddlers and seizure of the contraband valued at around ₹5 crore in the international market, a senior police officer said on Sunday.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Sanjeev Kumar Yadav said during a raid on Friday, the accused, identified as Seema, 54, a resident of Nand Nagri and her sister-in-law Samita, 43, a Shahdara resident, were apprehended near the GTB Hospital while attempting to deliver a consignment of heroin in the Nand Nagri slum cluster.
