Nevada (Mountain) and Chinese Taipei (Asia-Pacific) will meet in the 2025 Little League World Series championship game on Sunday, Aug. 24.
Garrett Gallegos was dominant on the mound for Nevada (5-1) in the 8-2 victory over Connecticut (Metro) to win the U.S. bracket final and advance to the championship game.
Gallegos allowed five hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out eight in five innings pitched. He also contributed to the win at the plate, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored for Nevada.
Chinese Taipei (4-0) will represent the International bracket as its finalist after its 1-0 victory over Aruba (Caribbean).
Liu Wei-Heng allowed just four hits while striking out seven in 5.1 innings on Saturday for Chinese Taipei. Chen Shi-Hong made the difference in the game, scoring the lone run on an error made by Aruba in the third inning.
