With just a couple of days left for Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations, police in Chittoor, Annamayya and Sri Sathya Sai districts have intensified vigil and preparations to ensure a smooth, peaceful and incident-free festival. Security measures have been tightened, pending cases reviewed, and officers instructed to remain alert throughout the festivities.
In Sri Sathya Sai district, Superintendent of Police V. Ratna convened a review meeting with sub-divisional police officers and Circle Inspectors at Puttaparthi, directing them to intensify surveillance around pandals and immersion points. She asked officers to monitor pending cases through the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) platform and make use of the e-Sakshya application to upload digital evidence. She stressed that technology-led policing would enhance transparency, speed up investigations and improve efficiency during bandobast duties.
