During his trial, North London hitman Javon Riley portrayed himself as being a master criminal, similar to the Omar Little character in The Wire.
In the iconic TV show, which was set in Baltimore, Michael K. Williams played Omar, a 'stick-up man' who would go around robbing other drug dealers, knowing they were incapable of reporting the crime to the police.
But he had a strict moral code, which meant not harming innocent 'civilians'.
It is here where the similarities between him and Riley definitely end.
This is because a botched hit planned by Riley left the life of an innocent nine-year-old girl changed forever.
