A young Kiran Madhar beamed with pride as she walked down the runway at her graduation, all kitted out in her gown, cap and glamorous pink dress.
With a law degree under her belt and a graduate scheme secured at one of the country's most prestigious legal firms, she had a bright future ahead of her.
Madhar was at the time the director of an event decoration company she ran with her sisters from her Wolverhampton home, and was just embarking on her legal career.
All in all, she was a promising young woman with the world at her feet.
But it all came crashing down this month when the mother-of-two was sentenced for two counts of dishonesty after being caught out in a shocking attempt to deceive the council.
