Lawyers of all district courts in Delhi, who have been on strike since Friday, will continue to abstain from work on Monday in protest against a recent notification issued by Lieutenant-Governor V.K. Saxena designating police stations in the national capital as videoconferencing centres for officers to provide evidence in court.
The decision to continue the protest was taken on Saturday at a meeting of the coordination committee of all bar associations of district courts at the Tis Hazari Courts Complex.
