Deepa Dasmunshi, All India Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary in charge of Kerala, here on Saturday said the Congress party has not received any complaint against Palakkad MLA Rahul Mamkootathil, who recently stepped down as president of the Kerala Youth Congress following allegations of misbehaviour raised by a Malayalam actor.
The actor’s statement comes amid mounting protests by the CPI(M) and the BJP, which are demanding Mr. Mamkootathil’s resignation from the Assembly, citing purported allegations by several women after the actor’s disclosure.
