Manchester City kicked off their Premier League campaign with a 4-0 win away at Wolves, with Erling Haaland bagging a brace and Tijani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki scoring on their Premier League debuts.

Tottenham, meanwhile, cruised to a 3-0 victory at home over Burnley, with Richarlison scoring twice and summer signing Mohammed Kudus registering two assists.

Asked about Eberechi Eze’s imminent move to Arsenal after Spurs had been frontrunners for the forward, Thomas Frank said he does not “speak about specific players unless they are at our fantastic club”.

He added: “There will be a lot of links [to players]. To be very, very clear, I don’t want any players that don’t want to come to the club. If they don’t want to come here, to wear this fantastic badge, then we don’t want them here.”

City’s Tijani Reijnders hit the ground running last Saturday following his summer move from AC Milan.
